The Tobi Reiser Prize is an award donated by the “Friends of Salzburg Advent Singing” association for outstanding achievements in the field of folk and everyday culture and commemorates the important musician, composer, folklorist and local historian Tobi Reiser the Elder. This prize was regarded as the most important award in this genre in the province of Salzburg and far beyond. It was awarded continuously from 1992 to 2013, i.e. for 21 years.
